NEW YORK, Jan. 16. A message from Washington says that the United States is willing to f'orego the payment of food and supplies provided by the U.S. Army in l'taly. Efforts are to be made to in- . tvease slu'prnents of wheat and eoal to Italy, and negotiations are to begin as soon as possibie for a new ecmmercial treaty Imtween the two c6untries, and a reduction of tariffs. According to Rome Radio, Sighor de Gasperi, the Italian Prime Minister, who is on bis way home from the United States, sent a message saying . that all the objectives of his visit were achieved.
