Bowling -Tourney* A pairs Journament was held at Ngongotaha on Sunday, January 5, in ideal bowling weather. Sixteen teams — from Ngongotaha, Rotorua and visitiiig bowlers from Auckland Cluhs — took part. ^ In section A, Hughes and Milligan ■,vere the winners. In section B, three teams, Irvine and Gladding (Rawhiti), Lee and Neville (NgongoLaha) , and McMeekin and Kapper (Rotorua) all had four wins. In the •emi-finals, Lee b'eat Irvine and McMeekin beat Lee. The final between • McMeekin (Rotorua) and Milligan (Rotorua) vas a very even contest, the.former vinning by one point. Afternoon tea was dispensed by he local members' wives, assisted by Mesdames Milligan and Hughes, of Rotorua. ~ « P'ersonal . i Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Robinson, of Ngongotaha, accompanied by their • 'aughter, Miss Lurline Robinson, and fiss Joyce Mason, of Matamata, have eft on an extended motor tour of he South Island. Miss Joyce Parsons, of Khandallah, Vellington, is on a visit tocNgongoaha and is the guest of Miss Ngaire Alkington. Miss Olwyn Kearvell has returned o Claudelands after a holiday at Tgongotaha. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Cooper, of Vuckland, who have been motoring hrough the thermal districts, were he guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bert \rmer, Ngongotaha. Mr. and Mrs. J. Patterson and Mr. nd Mrs. W. J. Smith have returned rom a holiday spent at Waihi Beach. Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Watson and Mr. •nd Mrs. C. Watson, who have been isiting Whitianga, have returned to ngongotaha. Mrs. Pat Lyle, Ngongotaha, is visitng her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Matt !cott, Devonport.
