GLADIOLI BLOOMS IN QUARANTINE
SYDNEY, January 15. A bunch of prize gladioli hlooms, brought by air from Auckland by Mrs. Nell Lowe, were put into quarantina on their arrival to ensure that they earried no disease. The blooms were piclced before dawn by Mrs. Lowe, who expressecl •keen disappointment at the restriction imposed. The gladioli were kept at the Rose Bay flying boat hase until cleared hy a quarantine olficer. (
