TE RAPUNGA SAFE AT WAIHEKE

AUCKLAND, Last Night. The ketch, Te Rapunga, which left Napier on December 29 for Auckland, put into Gisborne for repairs and left. on January 7 in continuation of its journey, is now at Matiatia, Waiheke Island, Hauraki Gulf. The skipper is Mr. Gecrge Dibbern, and the remainder of the crew is believed to be Miss Eileen Morris, of Napier, Randal Clare, aged 15, of Gisborne, Mr. Grant Lowe, and Mr. A. Straher. It was expected the Te Rapunga would be a contestant in the TransTaaman yacht race, but the race was abandoned because of the Te Rapunga's non-arrival in time.
