LONDON, Jan. 14, The Acting Administrator, Sir Henry Gurney, interviewed Lir. David Ben Gurion, and gave him what was tantamount to an fltimatum. He warned that the •ernest measures short of mariial law would follow any fur- • her outbreaks of terrorism, • 'iys Reuter's Jerusalem correspondent. The Jewish National Council, soon u ter Sir Henry's talk with Mr. Ben Gurion, called a mass meeting in Jerusalem for next Monday; to dis•i'ss anti-terrorist measures. It is understc-od, says Reuter's Jerusalem eorrespondent, that Jemal Ilusseini notified Sir Henry Gurney hat the Arab Higher Committee accepted the British Government's •iivitation to the London talks. It is uuthoritatively learned that the Arab delegation will consist of Jemal oHusicini, IJr. Hussein Khaladi and Emile el Ghorv.
A British Embassy spokesman said ihat all rail and air transport comnanies cperating between France and England had been informed that Trofessor Smertenko should not be •illowed passage to England, says the British United Press Paris eorrespondent. Action, Not Words, Now Needed LONDON, Jan. 14. . Pointing out that in its efforts to stop the terrorists, the Jewish Agency had up to now relied on propaganda, the London Times says. By now the Agency mnst realise that this is not enongh. No words are enough unless they ask 'he Jewish public outright to give information to the police. If words fail, the alternative is action." The paper mentions that the step may have to be taken of ordering all private traffic off the roads of Palestine.
