STILL POSSIBILITY OF DAIRYMEN'S STRIKE
Two Factories May Act Against Resolution HAMILTON, Last Night. There have been no further active developments in the dairy industry dispute, following the narrowly-defeated strike motion in Frankton on Monday night. When asked to comment upon the situation this morning, the branch secretary of the union, Mr. L. D. Robertson, was rather reticent but said the position was very delicate owing to the eloseness of the voting upon the question for immediate action. He was of the opinion that notwithstanding the defeat of the resolution to strike, some factories might demonstrate their displeasure at the low wage rates offered by striking at an early date, and if this oecurred, then in all probability these factories would have further support from other units. The feeling in favour of direct action is stated to be more apparent in the larger Waikato factories than in the small ones. The strongest support for direct action appears to be centred in two large_ factories, and the possibility has been mentioned of the workers from tbese two factories coming out on strike to-morrow in spite of the resolution carried at last night's meeting.
