Demand For British Goods In Middle East
LONDON, Jan. 13. The British goodwill trade mission, which visited Iraq, Syria, the Lebanon and Cyprus last spring, says it found everywhere a keen demand for British goods. The mission's report iust published, advises the British exportcrs to study these markets and lecommends more air travel facilities for British Lusinessmen. British firms exporting industrial plant should train local workmen so as to raise the standard of skill in mechanical industry. Tlie British Goyernment and the automcbile industry should decide now, it says, whether a serious attempt should be made to develop the vast potential market in the Middle East.
