KNOWLEDGE OF MINES DENIED BY ALBANIA
. LONDON, Jan. 12. In reply to the British protest about mine-lay„ing in the Corfu Channel, Albania denies that the mines v/ere placed there by Albanian orders, and states that their presence ■vvas not known. Albania admits the international right of passage through the channel but adds that British vessels -sailed very near h-er coast and British aircraft flew over her territory.
