Between and even during showers, on the rain-soaked and muddy courts, lie singles semi-finals of the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Championships were played at Wilding Parlc to-day. Results : — Men's Singles. — Semi-finals: R. F. McKenzie (Hutt Valley) beat O. M. Bold (Hutt Valley) 6—3, 6—3, 6—3. J. Roach (Waikato) v. F. Painter (Wellington) 6—3, 0—1, 4—2 (unfinished) .
Women's Singles. — Semi-fntals: Miss M. Beverley (Waikato) beat Mrs J. J. McVay (Wellington) 6 — 4, 6 — 2. Miss E. G. Attwood (Auckland) beat Mrs. J. Robl) (Hutt Valley) 3—6, 6—3, 8—6. Men's Doubles. — Semi-finals: R. F. McKenzie and M. V. Fdwards (Hutt Valley) v. Peter Smith (Northland) and J. A. Barry (Auckland) 2 — 2 (unfinished) . A. R. Canfo aiul W. J. Smith (Canterburv) v. O. M. Bold (Hutt Valley) and J. E. Robson (Otago) 2 — 2 (unfinished). Women's Doubles. — Semi-finals: Misses M. Beverley (Waikato) and V. Potter (Auckland) v. Miss M. L. Xerr (Otago) and Mrs. J.- H.
