LONDON Sister Elizabeth Kenny was one of 11 persons who excited most public interest in thje United .States this yc-ar, according to a poll conducted by the Celebinty Service of New York. The other 10 were Ingrid Bergman, Joihn Hersey (writer oi an article on Hiroshima in the New Yorker), General Eisenhower, John Crawford, La::-ence Olivier, "Doc" Blanehard, and Glenn Davis (stars of the Army football team), Bing Crosby, Mr. Molotov, and Cardir.al Spellman. A notable ahsentee is President Truman. Though Australian, Sister Kenny was third in a list of the 10 American women must admired by other American women in an annual poll held by the "Women's Home Companion." The hrst and second choices were Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt and Clare Booth Luce (former Congress-wamhn and play wright). Sister Kenny has beon invite.l to visit Britain and a numher of Continental countries and Palescine to demonstrate her infantile pnralys:s treatment.
