WASHINGTON, Jan. 9. Mr. Henry A. Wallace, former United States Secretary of Commerce, in. an editorial in the New Republic magazine, charges Mr. Churchill with waging a British and American "crusade against Russia." He said the Churchill policy acci-dental-ly and temporarily became American policy after 'Mr.. .Churchill's "iron curtain" speech last March. Mr. Wallace expressed the opinion that few-- public addresses in world history were so loaded with dynamite as Mr. Churchill's Fu-lton speech. It shocked Americans and made them think Mr. Churchill had access to special information they did not possess. Mr. Wallace adds that when Mr. Churchill spoke at Fulton, President Truman did not know his Churchill, and didi Pot know him when "I told him Churchill had shown him, as President of the United States, the greatest discourtesy." Mr. Churchill's Book Mr. Churchill is reported to have virtu-ally finished his hook -on the events of the past 10 years. He began it in 1936. It will he in one volume. The Daily Express says publishers on both sides of 1?he Atlantic will pay a record six-Ligure sum for it.
