AMERICAN ATHLETES ARRIVE IN AUCKLAND
AUCKLAND, last night. Two of the three outstanding Ameriean athletes who will tour New Zealand this 'summer, arrived in Auckland by air from Honolulu this afternoon. They are Don Oampbell, sprinter, and John Fulton, middleidistances runner. A1 Hershey, the field events' exponent, is not expeeted to arrive until next Tuesday. The athletes were met by officials of the Auckland Centre of the Amateur. and Athletic Association, and by Mr. J. W. Holley, secretary of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association. Mr. Holley will arrange details of the tour with the two athletes, who will he managed on the North Island section of their tour by Mr. A. C. Kitto, of the New Zealand A.A.A. management committee. First public appearance of the athletes will be at ihe Olympic Stadiium on -Saturday, January 18, when they will compete against a 'selected team of Auckland, athletes .
