NO MOSLEM COMMENT ON CONGRESS DECISION
LONDON, January 7. So far there has heen no official Moslem reaction to the decision of the All-Tndia Congress Committee to ac,'ept the British Government statement of Deeemher 6, with its interpretation of provincial graiping. The party's chief newspaper, Dawn, doabts the sincerity of the Congress decision, but Congress rewspapers descrihe the decision as a big conc.ession, and one of theni says: "It is to he earnestly hoped that the League will give up its uncompromising attitude." There have heen more disturbances in one or two plaees in India, hut they have hen industrial rather than communal. Troops and anned police t-ave been sent to a town 7'0 rniles north of Bombay, ^here workers are reported to he rio-ting. Yesterday's casuialties in Cawnpore, United Provinees, included five dead. There have also been -strikes in many parts of Bengal and one report says that 50,000 workers are out.
