SQUEEZING IN NEW YORK SUBWAYS
NEW YORK Special cars for ' women may be provided during rush hours on New York subways. Many women have complained that all squeezing during peak subway traffic is not caused entirely from lack of space. "We have had many complaints from husbands and fathers whose wives and daughters have told of experiences in crowded subways," said 'Mr. William Daly, secretary of the Transportation Board. The hoard is considering taking a vote among women on whether the first or last cars of subway trains should be reserved for them. Women who do not object to crowding. in with men would still have access to other cars. g
