AUCKLAND, Last Night. One of the great races in New Zealand Turf history ,was run at Ellerslie to-day, when Sleepy h5ox, in winning the King's Plate by a nose and a short head re-, spectively, from Exeter and M'ajestyjk beat the previous Dominion mile record of 1.35 3-5 by two-fifths of a' second. The placed horses therefore must also have beaten the best previous time. The weather was cool and overcast and the going was. good.
