FATAL ACCIDENT NEAR ASHBURTON

Motor Cyclist Killed In Collision With Car ASHBURTON, Last Night. A young man was killed and a girl and elderly woman were seriously injured in a collision between a car and a motcr-cycle near Wakanui, six miles from Ashburton, yesterday afternoon. The victims were: — Killed: Arthur Lloyd Taylor, aged 25, student of Canterbury College, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Taylor, Wakanui, who was the rider of the motor-cycle. He^ suffered a broken neck and died instantly. Injured: Miss Dcrothy Copland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Copland, Dromore, who was riding pillion on the motor-cycle. Mrs. Ross, aged 83', a passenger in the car. Both were admitted to hospital in a serious condition. The car was driven by Mrs. R. Kennedy, of Ashburton, daughter o-f Mrs. Ross. Mrs Kennedy was unhurt.
