'Mrs, Neville Harrison, of Remuera, Auckland and Mrs. Maurice Conly, of Wellington, are spending ihe -Christmas holidays with their parents Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Gresham, Sunset Rd., Rotorua. ☆ Miss Noel Gresham, who has been on the teaching staff at Rarotonga Cook Islands for the past-three years, returned to Auckland hy flying-boat on Monday and is now visiting her "parents in iSunset Road, Rotorua. ☆ A cable received from Dr. L. Madesin Phillips, of New Yonk, international president of the Business and Profcssional Women's Club, expressad deep concern at the cessation of UNRRA and urged that the New Zealand Federation should state whether it would. support the La Guardia plan for food and relief distribution. Miss Margery iL. Toulson, the international liason officer of the New Zealand federation of B. and P. clubs, immediately circularised branches and after recing unanimous approval of the La Guardia plan from representatives throughout the Dominion, lias dispatched a cable to Dr. Phillips assuring her of the New Zealand club's support.
