DIRECTOR-GENERAL OF HEALTH TO RETIRE

The impending retirement of the Direcctor-General of Health, Dr. M. H. Watt, and the Director-General of •Mental Hospitals, Dr. T. 'G. Gray, was announced by -the Minster of Health Mr. Nordmeyer, who said both had asked to be allowed to retire on superannuation. The Minister said' 'he wjshed to pay a tri'bute to fhe outstanding services Dr. Watt and Dr. Gray had given during distinguished public careers starting 30 years ago and 35 years ago respectively in the departments of which they later became the heads. .
