WELLINGTON, Last Night. No settlement of the waterfront dispute is yet reported. Members 'of the exeeutive of the Waterside Workers' Union together with officials of the Federation of Labour met the Minister of Labour, Hon. A. McLagan, at Parliament buildings to-day, but no headway was made. The wa'tersiders adhered firrnly to their demands, and no snbstantially rfew proposals arose from the conference. In the evening waterside officials conferred again with the exeeutive of the Federation !of Labour. Union officials are schedu'led to return to their home ports to-mbrrow, and tfyere is yet no guarantee of a settlement before the (New Year. The watersiders will cease work at noon, Christmas Eve, as is customary, resuming on Friday, Similar hours will he worked in the New Year.
