I Farewell To Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Kendall I A gathering that successfully reflected the spontaneo-us gaiety of Christmastide was held last mght by the staffs of all departments of the "Morning Post," when the old-time gathering "round the stone" was expanded into a social * occasion which was signifi-cant in two respects. j It marked the ' oonclusion of a . suceessful year of the company's ' aet'ivities, and also the end -of the assoeiation with it of one of its senior and- most valued members, .Mr. , ' S. L. Kendall, who, with Mrs. Kendall, was the guest of the evening. : Mr. Kendall is leaving shortly for 1 Auckland to go into business on his own account. i In making a presentation to Mr. Kendall of an attache case, the managing-tdirector, Mr. E. G. Guy, i referred to the- valuable contribution Mr. and Mrs. Kendall had made to the social and musical life of Rotorua. In j this, said Mr. Guy, he knew he was expressing the sentiment of the whole ' community, and he hoped that at j some future time they would return. I Mrs. Kendall was presented with a j bouquet by Miss Jean Ellis. The ■health of the guests was drunk- with ! musical honours, after which Mr. and Mrs. Kendall -both replied.
