Women's Club Social Evening
The year's activities of the Womens' Cluh ended on Tuesday evening, Decepiber 10, with a social evening held in the club room. Mrs. E. I. Corbett presided over a largie attendance of members and friends and welcomed all present. A most enjoyable programme was pi'esented. Songs were sung by Mesdames J.. Thomas and R. Lee, 'Messrs. Cater, Kendall and M. King, while Miss Rita Leeeh gave two pianoforte solos, and Mrs. Worsdale two recitations. Mrs. Kendall acted as accompanist. The final item was a piay-reading entitled "Can the Leopard," given by the Evening Reading Circle. Those talcing part were Mesdames H. Beale, McDonald, Runciman, Cater, J. Wilson, Davis and R. G. Webb. On behalf of those present, Miss M. A. French thanked the artists for their very enjoyable jeniertainment, and at the same time expressed t'he good wishes of the club for the speedy recovery of t'he president, Mrs. L. Lewis, who is still in hospital. The singing of the National Anthem, followed by supper, bro i|ght to a close a delightful evening. Those present were Mesdames H. Bertram, J. F. Finn, J. S.
