League of Mothers

The final function for the year of the League of Mothers took the form of a garden party at the residence of Mrs. H. Bertram. The afternoon was spent in games, competitions, and wandering around the beautiful grounds. Winners of the competitions proved to be Mrs. Hooper, Mrs. Ludgate and Mrs. Fred Lee, v/hile in the children's section, Diana Newton and Brian Munro carried off the prizes. Afternoon tea was served by the committee and soft drinks, ice cream and sweets were provided for the children. Among those present were Mesdames Bertram, Utting (Auckland), Hooper, Russell Gardner, Thonison, Jervis, Woolliams, Traue, Dawson, F. W. Lee, Tucker, Lillie, Goldfinch, Munro, Harris, Basire, Edwards, Locke, Ludgate, Riddell, Watts, Ardern, Still, Anderson, Duke, Horwell, Ladbrook, Bryant, Dowling, Walker, Holland, E. R. Quinlan, B. Quinlan, Roberts, W. Lee, J. B. Lee, McKenzie, L. Peas, Wales and Miss Basire.
