Concert Party at Sanatorium

On Monday night the Christmas party, arranged by the Women's Club, v;as beld at the .Sanatorium. A most happy spirit prevailed and a very enjoyable evening was spent by both patients and entertainers alike. Posies of flovvers made by the Gardening Circle of the Women's Club, vvere distributed to the patients as well as cigarettes and sweets. J Items Avere sung by Mesdames F. ; Carr, and J. F. Thomas; Messrs. Kendall, Cater, and Max King, whilc recitations were given by Miss B. Andrews. Mrs. Kendall acted as accojnpanist. The final item was the reading of a play entitled "Can the Leopard?" by thfe Reading Circle of the Women's Club. Those taking part vvere Mesdames Davis, McDonald, H. Beale, Wilson, Cater, Runciman and Webb. Mrs. W. E. C. George, on behalf oi the Women's Club, conveyed Xmas Greetings to the Matron, Staff and Patents and Auld Lang Syne brought to a close a very pleasant evening. Supper was served, the hostesses being Mesdames, A. Clarke, S. Fulljames, W. T. Hani.a, Corbett, W. L. Richards and W. E. Nicholls. A feature of the suppers was the cake donaled and cut by Miss M. A. French.
