JOINT COAL BOARD FINDS CHAIRMAN
Salary of £5000 a Year Went Begging CANBERRA, Dec. 18. Mr. Keith Addison Cameron has been appointed chairman of the Joint Coal Board. Despite the fact that the position carries a salary of £5000 a year, much difficulty was encountered in filling it. The Joint Coal Board, which will control the coal industry in Australia, was set up this year under Commonwealth and State legislation. Mr. Cameron, who is aged 44, and a bachelor of mining engineering, is manager of North Broken Hill, Limited. No other appointments to to the bo-ard have yet been made.
