^ ENGINEER'S kEPORT. In his report for November to the Rotorua County Council, the County Engineer, Mr. T. S. Robertson, stated that metal repairs and grading had been carried out on the Tauranga main highway, and progress had been made with preparation for sealing. The Maraeroa main highway had been maintained. The Maniatutu Road had been graded and '45 chains of widening completed. The Otaramarae Road, l'ecently re-formed, needed pum'icing. Although tenders had been received for the metalling of Hinton's oRad, none had been received for the metalling of the Waikaukau Road. For the Ngongotaha water 'supply, 1200 feet of four-inch steel piping had been ordered. Mr. Robertson said that approval had been given by the Department of Agriculture to assist Mr. 'Gray, of N'gakui-u, in clearing the ragwort from his land. The ragwort gang 'had been employed on Crown and native lands. Metal had been carted on to the following roads during the month: — Wikaraka Street, Endean's Road, Te Matai Road and Tauranga Road.
