POLICE ADVICE FOR HOLIDAY PERIOD
WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Commissioner of Police has issLed a warning to both business people and householders td talce^precautions against burglaries during the holiday period. To business people, the Coxnmissioner suggests that all money and valuables should he rernoved. Safes should be left open to avoid daxnage by explosives or drilling in cases of attempted safe cracking. Arrangexxrents should be made for a member of the stafr to visit the premises at intervals. Householders are advised to re-mov-e money and valuables to safe custody. Arrangexxrents should also be made for some person to visit dwellings at intervals during the owner's absence. "
