THE SERVICEMEN'S MESSAGE
"JUST ONE OF THE BOYS"
(To The Editor) iSir, — During the recent election campaign there h^s ibeen a fair a-mount of misinterpretation of things said and done. Your > coprespondent • :'Fair Play is Bonny Play" ancl also . a writer to a northern newspaper Xcho terhied himself "National" !gave i fair example of it. • There is one issue at stake. Have » . ve been well treated or have we not? The Convalescent Hospital here has leen built on the bes't site possi'ble , near the town on the shore of Lake Rotorua. It is wonderfully equipped vith a wonderful stafF to look affcir iS andi with good conditions -generilly. It would be hard to find a place o equal it anywhere else. The doctors here are good to us, n faet, they are ,more like fathers. Being a great believer in giving : iredit where it is due, I -honestly lelieve that if Mr. Holland and the Nfational Party had been in power ;hese last six years, and if they had irovided for us in the same way as he. Labour Government has done, -hen it would have been Mr. Holland v'ho would have reeeived the telegram >n • the eve of election day fijpm this luarter. The correspondents referred .0 in this letter and a few -more in:luded, appear to have one-traclc ninds: The -sooner they take a ■ n\ore og-ical view of current events the ?ewer crocodile tears they will xhed.— I am etc.,
lervices Hospital, Rotorua.
