The annual prize-giving of the Ngongotaha Anglican Sunday School took place last Sunday morning. The superintendent, Mrs. ' C. H; Robinson, thanked the- parents for their cooperation in sending the children regularly throughout the yeaf. To the Sunday School teachers, Miss.es Lurline Robinson, Patficia Riddlej Valerie Ri'ehards, Glenys Frost, arud -the organist, Miss Gennor Robinson, Mrs. Robinson conveyed. special thanks for their untiring efforts wtih the children. , , Mrs. W. Riddle, president of "the Ladies Guild, was astked to p.resent to each child a hook prize which had been won. The prineipal prize-winners were: — Senior Sunday 'School, Evelyn Milne, 1; kindergarten, Ian McGreevy, >Colin McGreevy aiid Carol McGreevy, equal; special catechism prize, Evelyn Milne. 'On Tuesday evening the Sunday School Hajl was a gay scene with a heavily laden and decorated Christmas Tree. A large nuihber of parents and children were present and were entertained wtih games and novelty items. The singing of Christmas hymns and carols by the children wa's a pleasing feature. On arrivaj. of Santa 'Claris the gifts were idistributed to •each child, together with a decorated basket of sweets' and a paper hat. All went merrily along- to make a highly successful ending to the year's activi'ties. Presentations of gifts to the teachers were made by the senior pupils, and floral tributes were presented to Mrs. C. H. Robinson - and Mrs. W. Riddle by Mrs. B. Turton on behalf )f the Ladies' Guild. Mr. and Mrs. Thomson, Anderson's 3ay, Dunedin, have been the guests of \Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Riddle, Ngongotaha.
