ELDERLY MAN DIES FROM SHOTGUN WOUND
AUCKLAND, Last Night. I Gravely wounded in the leg "when ■ a shot gun w'as discharged, JohnB Moore, aged 72, died before reaching ■ Auckland from Waiheke Island this H afternoon. Mr. Moore, who vasfl found shot in his room at the home I of his- nephew, Mr. M. Mooney, atfl Rocky Bay, Waiheke, was flown to I Auckland in a Catalina aireraft of fl the Air Sea Rescue Service but vrasfl dead on arrival. fl The ehief diffieulty was experi- 1 enced in conveying* Mr. Moore to the I aireraft from the house.
