Mr. R. T. Tapsell

The death occurred at Maketu yesterday of Mr. Rewi Tereanuku Tapihana (Tapsell), at the age of 74 years. Mr. Tapihana, who has been resident in the Rotorua distriet the whole of his life, was the eldest mejnber of the 1st Arawa Contingent to sail for France in 1914. With this famous unit he saw : service in France, Belg'ium, Egypt, and Gallipoli. He was a member of the Rotorua R.S.A. and many of his old comrades will' be present at the funeral service to he held at Maketu * on 'Saturday afternoon. ,
