Rec. Dec. 29. Windsor (Ontario), Dec. 28. " Canada is to make a bid for the Harmsworth trophy now held by Mr. Gar Wood. A syndicate of businessmen is financing the construction of what is hoped to be the world's fastest boat. Gar Wood (United States) now holds the record with a speed of 124.91 miles per hour.
