NEV/ SYSTEM INVENTED SECURES PERFECT SECRECY A GROUB SERVICE

(Rec. 8.15 p.m.) London, Dec. 28. An invention which will be invaluable if applicable to rural Australia, where inquisitive listening-in on party lines is prevalent, is a new and cheaper group telephone service which will be available throughout England in April, except for very small exchanges. Suhscribers will he eonnected hy the exchange in groups of four to eight and will be able to tallc in complete secrecy. A subscriber cannot use the line while another is doing so, nor can he telephone another in the sanie group, but as the greatest distance between these will be 350 yards, mutual telephonie communication will not be necessary .
