Paimerffpji ^ Tuesday. A distressing f.atality involving t^ie lives of two children, Erances Mason, aged 11, daughter of Mr. T. ])Ias.on, of Kakariki, and Molly Camplin, aged 4, daughter of Mr. J. L. Cam'plin, Waituna, occurred at Kakariki' today. The children, who were cousins, were caught on a hridge which, like many ojther short railway structures of this type, is undec'ked and jj.pt used for pedestrian tpaffic of any kind. It is about 20 feet .aboy.e a stream and the children had no hope of escape with a train coming on them so suddenly, unless they attempted to jump po the ground' below. They were unable to save themselves and met instantaneous death.
