MAJESTIC THEATRE
TO-NIGHT. Paramount's "Night After Night," which features George Raft, Conistance Cummings, Wlynne Gibson, ■Mae Weslt, and Alison Skipworth, lopened at the Majestie Theatre las,t night. The aetion of the film is set in 0. luxurious New York night club, an old brownstone mansdon reseued from ' decay ,to serve as an oasis for Manhattan's wea'lthy thirsty. Raft, young player who scored sensational success in minor roles in "Scarface," "Dancers in the Dtark," and "The Sporting Wfidow," has his first leading role as proprietor of the club. IMiss West, colourful figure of the Broadway stage, wlbo makes her movie debut in the film, and M:iss Gibson, are two of Raft's ex-sweet-hearts who find more difficulty in breaking the tie with him than he does. iMiss Cummings is seen in the role of a society defbytante -who finds that the night club has been estab'lishsd | in the house in which she wa.s borra, I a couple of decades back, in its better I days. A nostalgic yearning draws ' her back to it time after time.
