REPRESENTATIVES MEET TO DISCUSS TRADE CONDITIONS

s (Rec. Dec. 21.) Rugby, Dec. 20. The negotiating eommittee of the British cotton and artificial silk inoustries met the representatives of t"e Japanese cotton industries in London to-day. The following resolutions were passed. Eirstly, the British and Japanese . Sations are of opinion that the interests of hoth countries and the mdustries of both would he hest served Ly conimencing official industrial figotiations .as soon as possible. "-econdly, the British delegation is f opinion that the cottoni and. articJal silk industries are now so intrilfely involved each in the fortunes . other that the contemplated ^gotiations must embrace artificial S1 yarns and fabrics.
