"I'm sure," said he, "that puts all Other puddings in the shade. Said Winkie Wix, "I could not make a pudding if I tried." And Brownie White said, "Did you put some sixpences inside?" "I did not," said our bushybeard, "but I did better far; I put a box of matches in, also a big , cigar!" "And then I put some pen-nibs in, ! also a pot of ink — They're useful when you wiant to : write a note, I always think. I put some blacking in as well — |t's Very useful stuff, And some tobaceo, too, and then — oh, yes, a tin of snuff." j 'So everyone -will have a gift — at least, that's what I hope. Oh, I forgot! I put in, too, a nice large lump of soap!" His friends looked_ at each other. Winkie Wix exclaimed: "Oh dear! , That pudding, Bushybeard, will taste | extremely strange, I fear. "I'm sorry, but I do not think your pudding I will try, W|hat do you say, friend Brownie White?" and Brownie cried, "Not I!
