GOODWILL TRADE MISSION TO VISIT JAPANESE CAPITAL A PASSAGE WITH SMITHY (Rec. 9.30 p.m.) Sydney, Dec. 15. The Federal Government is contemplating sending a goodwill trade mission to Japan and the Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, has invited the Attorney-General, Mr. Latham, acting-Prime Minister, to undertake the trip with a staff of experts. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith has offered to pilot the Southern Cross to Tokio with Mr. Latham and a group of officials on board. The offer is now under consideration.
