The demand for heavier cattle was slaclc with values about the same as the previous week. Extra choice ox sold to 19s per 1001b.; choice and prime, 16s to 18s; secondary, 13s to 15s; prime young cow and heifer beef, 15s to 18s; secondary, 12s to 14s. Extra heavy prime steers ranged from £7 2s 6d to £7 10s; heavy, £6 10s to £7; lighter, £5 15s to £6 7s 6d; light, £5 to £5 12s 6d; small and unfinished, £3 10s to £4 15s; extra heavy prime young cows and heifers, £5 to £5 15s; heavy, £4 to £4 15s; lighter, £3 to £3 17s 6d; light, 47s 6d to 57s 6d; .others, 25s to 45s.
