DESTRUCTIVE FIRE
JAPANESE UNIVERSITY DESTROYED IN AN HOUR (Rec. 9.55 p.m.) Kobe, Dec. 12. Fire occurred at noon in the engineering laboratory of the Kyoto University and within an hour destroyed the whole bnilding. The garrison enlisted in the firefighting in a desperate endeavour to prevent the spread of the flames. The damage is estimated at 700,000 yen.
