Winds: North-easterly to northerly and light to moderate but gradually increasing in force. Weather: Still fair to fine and warm generally but haze and cloud gradually increasing. Rain setting in shortly in the western districts and the far north and south. Foliowing are the barometer, rnaximum and minimum thermometer, sunshine, and rainfall readlngs recorded at the Government Observatlon Statfon by the Rotorua Tourist Department for the 24 hours ended at 9.30 a.m. yesterday.
