A few days ago a letfcer was received from a young woman in New Zealand giving fuXl details of the man, sitating that for sorne years he had been subject to mysterious fainting attacks. The man's condition became w"orse, and doctors opera'ted, a portion of the tskull being removed, revealing a jelly-like substance groiwing over part -of the hrain. This was apptarently pressing o-n the brain. The surgeons remtoved it, and it is hoped that wben the effeots of the operation have worn off the man will completely recover his health and memory.
