FIRST PRIZE; AWARD. "WHEN I GROW. UP." (Spring Fairy, 10 years, Ngongotaha) Wfhen I grow up there is nothing that I would like better than housework. I would have a nice house, a sunpbrch, and a beautiful garden surrounding the house and seats under some shady trees. On sunny days, my mother would be seen sitting in the sunporoh, or on the seats, enjoying the summer days. As mother and I are both fiowerlovers, we would spend most of our time in the garden. I would have an brch'ard with many many different kinds of fruit trees that would hear fruit every summer. IWfaen I am a little older I would like to learn dressmaking, so "I could make mothef's dresses and my own. Every morning about ten o'clock I would take mother out for ia. walk in the park. "When I Grow Up." (Grasshopper, 8yr?s., Ohinemutu.) , . When I grow up I should like to be the owner of a lollie shop, then I could eat the lollies.
