COLLEEN’S LETTER

COLLEEN.

Dear Kiddies, Wjell, wie are only a week away from our party and already lots of our members have replied telling me that they will join us. I do want a good muster, for it will be a farewell to the page for a few weeks and the preservation of prizes for the year. ' So I would like those of you who have no.t yet replied to your invitations to let me know as soon as possible wheth'er you are coming or not, so that I can make arrangeanents. This week ends the gramophone competitio'n, but the final announcement of points will not be made until next Saturday morninig, which will be the final issue of the page. The position is particularly interesting and I am sure that you will all be interested to know boiw it works out in the end. ' The merit cards points prize hias also to be worked out and here again .the ' competition is particuilarfy close. U'nfortunately, we cannot have our turn-over page this week and next week, so that we are restricted for space and I wil'l have to run some of this weeks' entries on Wednesday. Next week, I am not setting iany competition, as we will have our final announcements to make and I am, sure that you will all like to^ write to me and say good-bye to the page for a little while. And now for our final reminders: Don't forget the party is next Saturday [afternoon. Don't forget to come in fancy dr; ss if you1 can. This is not compulsory and if you cannot get a fancy dress, it does not matter, although it will be nicer to have as many as possible in fancy Costumes. .. Perhaps you could dress to represent your pennam,es, but in any ease I want every one (of you to print a card showing i your pen-name and wear it where it can be seen. This will serve to introduce members to each other by their pen-names. Don't forget the Christmas issue of the page. This will appear in the special issue of the Morning Post which will be made on Christmas Day itsel'f. Don't forget to send in the number ■ of your merit cards and to let me know whether you are coming toi the party or not. ti have decided, in view of the last minute rush of new members, not to ' issue [any more membership certificates. iintil next year. Members joining this' week are admitted but we cannot take any more after to-day. Wtell, space is so shoit that I must not • take up any more; I must leave a little bit for my members.
