. — By Telegraph — Copyright).

Christchurch, Friday. The committee of -the New Brighton Trotting Club have decTded to abandon the "win" tote machine and revert to what was virtually the old method of betting at the meeting -on Deeember 9. There will be only one pool. In races in which there are eight or less starters, two dividends will be declared on the same percentage as existed prior to the advent of the "win and place" system! In races where there are nine of iriore starters three dividends will be paid on the ratio of 70, 29 and 10 per centage.
