George Abbot, age'd 19 years,- was killed by lightning and i: four comi panions' were severely burned -while sheltering under a tree at Stalwell ftOm a severe storm which swept most of the State, causing widespread damage and floods. * The Tasmanian passenger airliners are unable to cross Bass Strait owing to poor visibility and high -winds. - Two ' fishermen have been missing since Tuesday, and it is feared tbat they have been lost.
