In sunshine, rain and wind they were equally comfortahle. "The crowd laughed at them only once_Hwhen I took off my dressinggown before the game. "They save the hother one experiences in hltching-up long trousers. ■"They don't cling to the knees. Their freedom is just great. "Though some1 peopl)e thought I loolced less handsome than I rea'lly ;am, lots liked them, and me in them. "Fitchett has worn them. Adrian Quist is going to wear them. Even some of the older internatiorials will he wearihg them. _ "I've merely hroken the ice. Watch shorts become popular."
