EIGHT THOUSAND HOMELESS

Calcutta, Nov. 29. A surprise census taken between mid-night on Saturday and 2 a.m. on Sunday estimates tbat there are 8000 homeless in Madras Streets, including ibeggars, coolies and rickshaw pullers.
