(Rec. 8.10 p.m.) Bucharest (Rumania) Nov. 27 Troops and gendarmes have been engaged in a three-day seige of 300 anti-Semitic guards whose suppression was ordered by the Government. They barricaded themqelves in a house in Jassy but finally, short of ammunition and food, they appealed for the help of 100,000 fellow members of their organisation, 1000 of whom marched to their relief. They met with stubborn resistance and then rushed and completely demolished the house of the Minister of the Interior. The fighting resulted in one student being killed, and two seriously injured. The anti-Semitic disturbances in which a npmber were severely injured, resulted in 20 arrests and the closing of the University.
