SIBERIAN TRAIN WRECKED AND PASSENGERS FIRED ON JAPANESE RESCUE

Shanghai, Nov. 27. A daring outrage was perpetrated by bandits 40 miles east of Tsitsihar on Sunday night. Bandits unbolted the rails of the trans-Siberian railway and an express travelling at 50 miles ah hour somersaulted down an embankment. The bandits then opened fire on the passengers, who sought to escape from the wrecked train.
A Japanese armed guard happened to be travelling on the train and they returned the fire, the bandits fleeing. S'everal passengers were taken captive. The Japanese lost two killed and several wouiyled. It is believed many persons were killed and injured in the wreck.
