ALL MARKETS FIRM London^ Nov. 25. ! Mr. W. P. Devereux's, the London : representative of the Australian ; Woolgrowers' Council, report, says I the situation in the United States" and | France continues very disturbing. All i the wool markets are firm with an | active demand especially from Gerj many and Yorkshire. I Opening rates have been firmly I maintained, withdrawals being neglij gible. Crossbred tops are firmer. ! There is good demand for medium and fine qualities; prices for Merino I yams are fully maintained. There I is a moderate amount of new business in crossbred yarns, prices tending against buyers, but little business is passing. Many mills are working overtime. The saies of tops to Germany have again been large; with improved prices. Trade is active and confident, but the trade in France is only moderately active. The Italian industry is active and the Continental market firm.
